Our Sunday School

Sunday School is not just for the little ones!

If you have an interest in knowing more about the book called The Bible, this weekly time of instruction is the place to start.

Classes begin each Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m.

The Berean Class
Our Berean Class is the primary adult Sunday School class, and is taught by Pastor Carruthers.  This class is currently working through a series entitled Effective Bible Study.  If you want to learn more about the Word of God, this class may be just what you are looking for.

Foundations Class
(Please note: The Foundations Class is a class which meets as needed.  Please contact the church if you wish to attend this study.)

Pastor Carruthers teaches this class, which is designed for new members, new believers, or anyone who wants a good basic grounding in the faith.  It consists of eight sessions which are taught in a continuous rotation, so a person can enter this group at any time, complete the course in eight weeks, and then move on to one of our regular Sunday School classes.  The numbers in this class are kept limited, so contact Pastor Carruthers if you might be interested in attending.

The ER (A.K.A The Teen Class)
The name comes from the place where our teens meet--the end room in our classroom building.  But it also stands for "The Eternally Redeemed," which is exactly what we want our young people to be.  On the last Sunday of each month, we have an Afterglow fellowship for our teens and college-age young people following the evening service.  Afterglows, which are hosted at different homes, are a time to just unwind with Christian friends, snack a little (okay...a lot!), and play some games.  Curious?  If you're in the seventh through the twelfth grade, or working on your college degree, come be part of our ER.  No appointment necessary.

Youth Classes
We also offer classes during the Sunday School hour for our younger children.  Our Preschool Class creates a fun time of Bible-based instruction for those who have outgrown the nursery, but who aren't yet out of kindergarten, while our Primary Class takes those in kindergarten through the third grade and starts building the foundations of our faith in them through instruction, games and crafts, and Scripture memorization.  As they grow, our Juniors Class covers grades four to six, continuing their Bible teaching while helping them transition toward that Teen Class!
Not all of our youth classes are taught all the time, but are provided in response to the young people attending our services.  Contact the church for more details.
