The fear and uncertainty surrounding the current spread of the COVID-19 virus is really unprecedented, and the recommendations are literally changing on a daily basis. As a pastor, I want to honor the Lord in obeying His command that we not forsake meeting together as a church (Heb. 10:25), but I also understand that this virus is very real, and that it is a genuine threat to the members of our congregation. Alameda County, of which San Leandro is a part, is under a mandatory shelter-in-place order, so we are legally prohibited from holding any services or activities on our property until April 7. I wish this were not the case, but I am hopeful we will be able to resume our ministry here on Easter Sunday. In the meantime, please join with me in praying for those impacted by this virus.
Alameda County has issued a mandatory shelter-in-place order until April 7. Therefore, all activities and services at Manor Baptist Church are cancelled until Easter Sunday, April 12.
We are sorry for this necessity, but know that Almighty God is still sovereign over our lives.
Please check back here for any updates, and continue to pray for the medical professionals battling this virus!
Manor Baptist Church is an independent, Bible-believing local church. We are fundamentalists with regards to our beliefs, conservatives in our worship, traditionalists when it comes to our music, and Baptists in the way we operate our church.
